Comment: Adobe develops, markets and supports content creation, document management, digital marketing and advertising software and services to creative professionals and marketers. Digital media is the largest of its 3 business segments including products such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

Company: Alphabet Inc 

Sector: Communication Services

Market Cap: $1387bn

Comment: Alphabet is a holding company of Google, the world's largest search engine. Through its subsidiaries it provides web-based search, advertisements, maps, software applications, hardware products as well as cloud services. It also owns YouTube.

Company: Facebook Inc

Market Cap: $740bn

Comment: Facebook is the world’s largest online social network, with 2.5 billion monthly active users. It generates revenue by serving 7 million advertisers. Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp are the drivers of rapid revenue growth.

Comment: Lowe's is an American retail company specializing in home improvement. It serves approximately 20 million customers a week in the United States and Canada. Lowe’s and its related businesses operate or service more than 2,200 home improvement and hardware stores and employ over 300,000 associates. Its online presence has recently seen triple digit sales growth.

Comment: Marketaxess is financial technology company that operates an electronic trading platform for corporate bonds and other fixed income instruments.  It also provides market data and other post-trade services.

Company: Microsoft Corp

Comment: Microsoft develops, licenses and supports consumer and enterprise software products. It is well known for its Windows operating systems and Office productivity suite. Productivity and Business Processes, Intelligence Cloud, and Personal Computing are the three main business segments. Through acquisitions, Microsoft also owns Xamarin, LinkedIn, and GitHub.

Market Cap: $56bn

Comment: Moody’s is the holding company for Moody’s Investor Services, a credit rating agency, and Moody’s Analytics, a provider of financial analysis software and services. The company’s famous letter ratings are applied to debt obligations and issuance entities in over 130 countries and were invented by John Moody in 1909.

Comment: A global healthcare company with 90 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care, it has around 50% market share of the global insulin market. The company also has leading positions within haemophilia care, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy.

Company: Tencent Holdings Ltd

Market Cap: $894bn

Comment: Tencent is a holding company for multiple internet and communications related services.  It’s the world’s largest video game seller and is also the dominant instant messaging service provider (WeChat and QQ) to the Chinese market. Through other subsidiaries it also provides music, e-commerce, payments systems, entertainment, AI and technology solutions.
