Comment: Tencent is a holding company for multiple internet and communications related services.  It’s the world’s largest video game seller and is also the dominant instant messaging service provider (WeChat and QQ) to the Chinese market. Through other subsidiaries it also provides music, e-commerce, payments systems, entertainment, AI and technology solutions.

Market Cap: $159bn

Comment: A global healthcare company with 90 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care, it has around 50% market share of the global insulin market. The company also has leading positions within haemophilia care, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy.

Sector: Financials

Market Cap: $80bn

Comment: S&P Global provides data and benchmarks to capital and commodity market participants. It is also the largest credit ratings agency in the world. Other segments include Market Intelligence providing desktop tools, analytics and other data solutions to investment banks, corporations, and other entities.

Comment: Facebook is the world’s largest online social network, with 2.5 billion monthly active users. It generates revenue by serving 7 million advertisers. Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp are the drivers of rapid revenue growth.

Comment: Adobe develops, markets and supports content creation, document management, digital marketing and advertising software and services to creative professionals and marketers. Digital media is the largest of its 3 business segments including products such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

Market Cap: $1,233bn

Comment: Alphabet is a holding company with Google, its largest subsidiary generating around 99% of its revenue, predominantly from online advertising.  Google Play, YouTube, together with hardware products such as Nest, the Pixel phone also contribute to its revenue.

Comment: Biogen develops and manufactures therapies focusing on neurology, oncology and immunology. Specific focus addressing diseases such as multiple sclerosis, non-hodgkin's lymphoma, rheumatoid arthritis, alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Comment: Accenture is a leading global provider of management and technology services and solutions. It provides management consulting, strategy, digital and other operational services to a diversified spectrum of clients in 51 countries.

Comment: Qualys Inc is a provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions to enterprises and government entities. The company derives revenue from subscriptions to its cloud-based solutions suite of around 20 applications.
