The Nutshell Dynamic Long Short Fund is a long short offshore equity fund managed by Mark Ellis, Chief Investment Officer. This offshore (Cayman) fund invests in global equities (primarily US and Europe), with a focus on approximately 200 quality growth companies.
The strategy begins with Nutshell’s proprietary model - developed and refined over many years - which identifies opportunities using a blend of fundamental and behavioural signals. From there, we manage exposures, dynamically adjusting position sizing and timing based on market conditions and our level of conviction. It's a systematic, model-driven framework with discretionary portfolio management, allowing us to express high-conviction views with precision.
The name Nutshell reflects the philosophy: we distil a vast global equity universe into a focused, high-quality portfolio. It’s about cutting through noise, concentrating capital, and deploying it only where we see a clear and durable edge.
